Redtop Panicgrass (Panicum rigidulum) is a premier wetland bunch grass which grows primarily in the summer months. For livestock, it can serve as a feed source as it is palatable and easily digestible. It possesses hints of red foliage and seedheads that makes it visually attractive. A plant that is necessary in any riparian or wetland mix, it is extremely common across the southeast in moist, lower elevations.
