Path Rush (Juncus tenuis) is a smaller, native bunch species in terms of width and height and prefers drier wetland areas of forests, along roads and in lower meadows. It can tolerate foot traffic, hence the name “Path Rush,” but it does not respond well to close mowing. Birds often use Path Rush for nesting material.
