Can have bluish color on the stems in spring and summer, and reddish tan color in the fall. Seeds are fuzzy and white at maturity and great value to small birds. Great for wildlife habitat and attract birds, butterflies and host for larvae. Used for cattle grazing and erosion control and important component of our Quail Plantation Mix. Stands up very well with snow and ice.
